The Benefits of Dental Implants

Long Lifespan

Dental implants last 30+ years, which is longer than any other restorative treatment.

They will never shift or move when you are eating or speaking, unlike dentures.

Prevent Bone Loss

Implants support and strengthen your jaw bone and prevent bone resorption.

Simple Care

After your implant heals, simply brush and floss normally, and see Dr. Antoun for routine cleanings.

Natural Look & Feel

Dental implants look, feel, and function just like natural teeth.

Advanced Technology

We use digital scans and 3-D x-rays to ensure precise placement and excellent results.

Sapphire Smiles is a one-stop shop for dental implants. Dr. Antoun has been performing successful implant treatments for years and you can always trust that your results will be beautiful. We use top of the line implants and the latest technology and surgical techniques to place your implant precisely, minimize invasiveness, and encourage rapid healing. Implant treatments have a success rate above 95%, and with proper oral hygiene, your implant can last a lifetime.

After your implant has been placed, we’ll begin crafting your custom restoration. We offer a wide variety of dental implant restorations, including dental crowns, implant-supported bridges, and implant-retained dentures. Schedule a consultation to see which option is right for you.

If you already have a dental implant and are looking for implant maintenance, our team can also help keep your dental prosthetic in great shape with regular cleanings and exams, ensuring that it stays strong for the years and decades to come.

Single-tooth implants consist of two parts: the implant itself and a natural-looking dental crown (false tooth). This crown is shaped to match your missing tooth perfectly, restoring the function and aesthetics of your smile.

Often, a combination of dentures and implants can be used to restore your smile after tooth loss. We offer implant retained removable dentures (known as over-dentures), as well as implant supported fixed dentures (known as all-on-4 or all-on-x).

We also offer full-arch implants, which are an alternative to implant dentures. Dr. Antoun will place 6-8 implants in one arch to support multiple fixed implant bridges.

Don’t want to wait for months to have your implant restoration placed? At our office, we offer immediate implants. With this treatment, we can place your implant and add your crown within 48 hours of initial surgery, in most cases. This allows you to restore your smile fast.

During your first appointment, Dr. Antoun will use advanced machinery such as cone beam imaging, computerized 3D modeling, and digital x-rays and scans to create a personalized surgical guide and your comprehensive treatment plan. This guide is used to place your implant more precisely, accurately, and efficiently.

At your next appointment, he will create a small opening in your gums and jaw bone, using your customized surgical guide. Once your implant is placed, the area will be cleaned and sutured shut. If you are receiving multiple implants, this process will be repeated. Once this is complete, you will be given instructions for aftercare and prescriptions so that you can heal comfortably at home.

Throughout the next few months, you will come in for multiple appointments so Dr. Antoun can check your healing progress and develop your permanent implant restoration. Once your mouth has healed completely, your implant-supported restoration will be inserted by Dr. Antoun to complete the procedure.

Dental Implants vs. Bridges?

Unlike dental bridges, implants do not depend on your adjacent teeth for support. This means having an implant placed will not affect your surrounding teeth. We will not need to treat or prepare the adjacent teeth, and should anything happen to an adjacent tooth (decay, gum disease, etc.) the implant will not be affected. This also allows you to easily floss between your natural tooth and an implant. All of these benefits contribute to the longevity of your implant.

If you are missing one or more of your teeth or need to have one or more teeth removed, you are likely a good candidate for implant dentistry. To learn more, schedule an appointment with Dr. Antoun at Sapphire Smiles.
